Workplace mediation is often an effective early-intervention tool to assist managers to resolve disputes between workers before issues escalate. The focus of mediation is to return the individuals to productive work as soon as possible without any further unacceptable behaviour.

Mediation can also be of benefit to parties who have been involved in a workplace investigation, by assisting them to move harmoniously forward.

Our team has decades of experience in handling a range of workplace disputes and recognises the benefits of bringing parties together to try and resolve complaints in a non-adversarial, respectful manner. Confidentiality and sensitivity are key to our approach.

From the initial client instruction to mediate or facilitate a complaint, the general procedure adheres to the following steps:

  • Plan the mediation/facilitation process
  • Agree a mediation/facilitation protocol
  • Meet with participants
  • Where possible, assist parties to reach agreed outcomes
  • Document any agreed outcomes (ideally to be signed by participants)
