OUR TEAM

Our team is made up of smart, kind and friendly people who are passionate about their work

The work we do is interesting, challenging and professionally fulfilling. It requires a unique mix of technical and people skills.

Our team is always learning and seeking ways to improve what we do. We also love to share knowledge with each other and other investigators.

We are always looking for like-minded brilliant legal professionals who share our passion for employment law and impartial workplace investigations. But importantly, also have a heart for people.

WELLBEING

We value our team and prioritise their wellbeing by:

  • providing peer support on all matters
  • offering a mix of work opportunities beyond investigations, including reviews, investigations advisory and training
  • pairing team members with dedicated mentors to guide their growth
  • closely monitoring case loads
  • providing regular team and one-on-one debriefing sessions with a registered counselling therapist
  • encouraging professional development
  • holding fortnightly national full-team meetings and regular smaller team meetings
  • celebrating individual career and personal milestones

LEARNING

& DEVELOPMENT

We love seeing our team grow and develop, professionally and personally

We dedicate 10 per cent of our time and budget to learning and improvement to keep our skills current.

We support our team’s involvement in:

  • training opportunities
  • national and international conferences
  • personal interest and growth activities, such as language, piano and mountain biking lessons and cooking classes, through our Q-Elevate program

Each year we love bringing our 20+ investigators together for an annual team dinner and conference. It’s a great chance to bond, learn and grow together.

Our firm continually invests in innovation, including the use of technology and AI to support investigations and reviews. This allows our team to spend time on what really matters – interviewing people, analysing evidence and writing clear and well-reasoned reports.

We are deeply committed to ongoing learning, continually honing our individual skills in areas such as interviewing, evidence analysis, report writing and trauma-informed, neuro-inclusive and culturally responsive practices.

‘The nature of our work
confirmed, early on, the
type of culture we wanted
to foster within our own
firm – one based on shared
values of integrity,
impartiality, respect,
transparency and empathy.’
